I think a Tacoma Little Jumbo will be my next purchase in a few years.when my little Seagull beater finally gets retired from its "campfire/porch guitar" status. Combine that with a great gloss finish, cool inlays, beautiful rosette and flawless binding, and I don't think you'll find a better deal. The mahogany and spruce on my DM-18 looks beautiful. The CB10C E7 is the voice of low-end authority in the Tacoma Wing. I've put it up against D-28's and various higher end Martins and Taylors, and my Tacoma holds up extremely well - some of the others sound better, but most of the time (maybe 85%), my Tacoma sounds as good or better than acoustics that cost much, much more. The Tacoma CB10C E7 Thunderchief Bass from the Wing Series has a solid spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, one-piece mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, 34' scale length, abalone dot inlays, branded logo, black tuners, light satin finish, and comes with a case. It's mind blowing how great it sounds for any price. If sound is what you are after, they are great and again, not all have the finish issues. They did however have hit & miss cosmetic finish lifting issues. You can pick them up used at very reasonable prices on E-bay, Craigs-List etc. Purchased from original owner 4 years ago, kept in smoke free home in humidified room. Excellent condition, sounds and plays fantastic. Solid Sitka spruce top, solid rosewood sides and back, ebony fretboard with ivoroid bindings. Tacoma DM8C Road King 1998 Acoustic Electric Guitar. I also have an unreal DM-18, and I got mine for about $700, too (a few years ago).Ībsolutely amazing guitar. I think that Tacomas are FANTASTIC guitars, especially for the price. If you then make a purchase, may earn a commission. The only thing I would note about Tacoma's is that they tend to come from the factory with action that is a mile high, and yes that can be remedied but it does effect tone and volume. So in my mind they are a hell of a value and I love mine. Now this particular H&D does blow the Tacoma away, but I have tried $4000 guitars that sounded MAYBE marginally better. I have looked long and hard to find a better sounding acoustic.finally did with a H&D OM, but at a $2500 price tag. If you make a purchase through these links, may earn a commission. With a 15' wide lower bout its closer to an OM or concert size. 1 Reverb offer for TACOMA DM10 acoustic guitars. The PM20 is Tacomas 'parlor' guitar, with an amber toned Sitka spruce top that shows a little bearclaw figure and a lot of silking, and solid mahogany back and sides. I have a DM 18 that is unreal for around $700. Circa 2003 (G Serial ) Tacoma Guitar Company PM-20 acoustic guitar in excellent condition.
